NSM-Christ Community Reformed Church - Clifton Park, NY

  Sunday evening 6/25/23, we welcomed a group to Trinity and North Street Mission, from Christ Community Reformed Church of Clifton Park, NY.   Monday morning the group worked our breakfast program.  After breakfast we held our opening circle and gave them a tour of the church.  In the afternoon the group went to People to People Ministries to learn about their organization. People to People Ministries Link to pictures Tuesday morning the group worked the breakfast program.  At 10:30 the group will hear from a former homeless person and learn about all of the challenges of being homeless. NSM-Downers Grove First United Methodist Church

  North Street Mission Monday evening June 12, 2023 we welcomed a youth group from Downers Grove First United Methodist Church.  They are from a southwest suburb of Chicago.     Tuesday morning the group worked our breakfast program.  After breakfast the group had a discussion with a homeless person about the issues facing them today.  In the afternoon the group went to Sonnenberg Village in Kidron, Ohio.  The group worked outside moving wood until they got rained out.  The group then discussed Trinity, homeless and Sonnenberg Village.  Ray Leisy gave the group a tour of the Village and (Ray & Allyson) provided a pizza dinner.  Link to Sonnenberg Village Website Link to group pictures Follow the group this week! Ghana Mission Trip

 On May 24, three Trinity members, Pat Anderson , Janet Burkhart and Joan Cooper, will be traveling to Ghana.  Also traveling from Ohio are Sandy Lindahl, former member of Trinity and Scott Gregory, a member of the Thursday breakfast crew. We welcomed our own youth group to North Street Mission for a day mission trip on Tuesday July 27, 2021.  We started off the day working in our breakfast program.  After lunch we went to Sonnenberg Village in Kidron to work outdoors on projects.   Link to pictures North Street Mission 150 E. NSM - Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids

We Welcomed a group from Grand Rapids  Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids The group from Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids arrived Sunday evening August 8, 2021, and left the first thing Thursday morning August 12, 2021. Each morning they worked at our breakfast program.  On Monday afternoon, they went to a Habitat build site in Wooster and did a number of landscaping projects and work with the framed walls.  Tuesday afternoon, we went to Kidron and Sonnenberg Village.  They worked outdoors moving piles of wood into a dumpster and downstairs.  In addition, they moved gravel in preparation for a porch.  On Wednesday afternoon the group went to NAMI/MOCA House a drop in mental health center to understand what they do.   Afternoon work links: Habitat for Humanity  - facebook page Sonnenberg Village NAMI/MOCA website link      Educational segments include:  Monday, Beth Weaver from Habitat;  Tuesday, Jeanne B...

Annual Sauerkraut Supper Thursday 11/14/19 - 5-7pm Long standing annual sauerkraut supper. Dinner includes: pork, sauerkraut, green beans, drink and dessert. Proceeds will benefit our joint 2019 Mission trip to Tijuana Mexico between Tr i nity and College of Wooster students with Esperanza International Take out available. 2020 Stewardship Drive - "Take the Time"

As our fall schedule ramps up at Trinity, it is time to start to think about our annual stewardship drive.  This is where we, as a congregation, pledge our time, talent and treasures for next year. This year, 2019, has been a busy one at Trinity in part because of our 200th-anniversary celebrations.  In addition, we have completed several building improvement projects.   Our 2020 Stewardship Theme is “Take the Time” by the Michael Stanley Band.  It might seem a bit strange that we would pick a Heartland Rock band from the Cleveland area as our theme. The lyrics start:  These are strange days we live in, the nights get even worse.    And the news must make you crazy, it has for so long. NSM - Heidelberg University

We welcomed a group from Heidelberg University! The group came for one night arriving on Sunday afternoon 10/13/19 and left late in the afternoon on Monday 10/14/19.  The group helped serve dinner at the DZ@6 at the Zion Lutheran Church and served at our breakfast program on Monday morning.  Monday afternoon they toured the Wooster Hope center.  Afterward, they toured "180" and heard about all of their services and career opportunities.  The group was a Psychology Class at the University.  They were looking to find out about different career paths and to understand homeless issues. Education segments included:  Anthony Taylor, Medication Assistant Treatment Coordinator for the State of Ohio on Sunday afternoon.  He talked a lot about drug issues and career opportunities.  Monday after breakfast, John & Sue Muskopf talked to them about our breakfast program. NSM - Parkway UCC from St. Louis, MO

NSM - Parkway UCC from St. Louis, MO We welcomed the youth group from Parkway UCC - St. Louis, MO The group worked at our breakfast program each morning.  Monday afternoon they worked on a Habitat house in Wooster.  Tuesday afternoon they traveled to Kidron to work at Sonnenberg Village.  Wednesday was their fun day.  After working breakfast, they went up to Cleveland to tour the UCC National Offices and went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Thursday they went with Trinity's CAT Youth at the OARDC.  Later in the afternoon, they went to MOHA House.  Friday, after working breakfast they headed for home.        Education segments included:  On Monday, John and Sue talked to them about the breakfast program.  Tuesday they went up to the Boys and Girls Club and learned about the facility from program Director, Christine Lindeman.  We had our closing circle on Thursday afternoon after MOHA House. ...
