NSM - Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids
We Welcomed a group from Grand Rapids
Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids
The group from Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids arrived Sunday evening August 8, 2021, and left the first thing Thursday morning August 12, 2021.
Each morning they worked at our breakfast program. On Monday afternoon, they went to a Habitat build site in Wooster and did a number of landscaping projects and work with the framed walls. Tuesday afternoon, we went to Kidron and Sonnenberg Village. They worked outdoors moving piles of wood into a dumpster and downstairs. In addition, they moved gravel in preparation for a porch. On Wednesday afternoon the group went to NAMI/MOCA House a drop in mental health center to understand what they do.

We at North Street Mission want groups to have a meaningful week and hope that they continue to go on mission trips in the future. Part of this process involves getting feedback from the groups. Here is a summary of the feedback from the Grand Rapids group:
Immanuel Reformed Church Grand Rapids - August 8-12, 2021
I Believe North Street Mission can make a difference by:
1. Loving and Serving people. You are the hands and feet of Jesus. Sharing his love with the "least of these." May your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven." Matthew 5:15
2. You already make a great impact on your community with all that you do. Feeding those that ned it, being supportive of other organizations that also help those with physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Make sure that you do not let these programs/ministries die. Continue to make them known in the community. You have a very rich heritage of service. "Keep it up!"
3. Reaching out to the smaller, non-profits and help them to grow their mission and also doing more things with the homeless since many people don't do that much.
4. Showing the people that come and visit how important serving others and serving your community is. They have revealed to me how important serving is and how I need to put more of an emphasis on that when I get home. It was an amazing experience and inspiring!
5. Continuing to serve others. Connecting community volunteers to a church family if they don't have one already.
6. I Love how you serve breakfast and how much you help the homeless!
Survey Responses:
1. Meeting and talking with the people we served for breakfast. It helped me to remember the value of listening and noticing people.
2. We will share at our home church our experience and seek out ways to serve and help others.
3. Importance of service and the ease with which it can be done when it is well organized.
4. I would like to bring back each of thee ministry opportunities back home (helping , feeding the homeless, getting involved with those suffering from mental illness and building homes for the less fortunate).
5. Creating community and meeting the needs of others without judgement.
6. Serve where we are and in my own community better.
7. The breakfast impacted me the most. It was just amazing to see the community.
8. Everyone I met was so kind and seemed happy to have us here. I loved it. Thanks so much!
9. I plan to hopefully find a place back home to serve at.
10. How a lot of homeless people just come for fellowship.
11. To not always judge someone.
12. To use the lessons of just communicate with the homeless since they are regular people!
One evening, i was reading a blog of how so many people got this blank card online when i was trying to search for a new job, but it didn't seem clear to me so i ignored. Three days later, i was so surprised to see a comment by my cousin on how he got the blank card worth Thousand Dollars and without hesitation i gave him a call to come over to the house to tell me more about the card and he told me that its a miracle that i needed to per-take. He gave me the email address of the hackers and i contact them (WhatsApp: +1803392173)for the card and they responded and told me all the procedures and terms of the card which was also what my cousin told me, i agreed and completed their requirement to get the card. Four days later, i heard knock on my door an behold was the courier agent who brought the parcel to my house and today i am rich and i thank God to this hackers and to my cousin brother who lead me to them. It might sounds odd but you can get yours via email: darkwebcyberhackers@gmail.com OR WhatsApp: +18033921735
