NSM-Hope Reformed Church of Kalamazoo

We welcomed a group from Kalamazoo, MI  The group Monday, with Lyn talking about the Wooster Homeless Task Force Hope Reformed Church of Kalamazoo, MI The group arrived Sunday evening 6/19/22.  The group will be here for four work days.   Click for the group pictures Each weekday morning the group will work at our breakfast program from 7:15 am to approximately 10:00 am.  Monday morning after breakfast the group talked with Lyn about the Wooster Homelessness Task Force. NSM - Trinity UCC Wooster Youth Group

We welcomed our own youth group to North Street Mission for a day mission trip on Tuesday July 27, 2021.  We started off the day working in our breakfast program.  After lunch we went to Sonnenberg Village in Kidron to work outdoors on projects.   Link to pictures North Street Mission 150 E. NSM - Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids

We Welcomed a group from Grand Rapids  Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids The group from Immanuel Reformed Church of Grand Rapids arrived Sunday evening August 8, 2021, and left the first thing Thursday morning August 12, 2021. Each morning they worked at our breakfast program.  On Monday afternoon, they went to a Habitat build site in Wooster and did a number of landscaping projects and work with the framed walls.  Tuesday afternoon, we went to Kidron and Sonnenberg Village.  They worked outdoors moving piles of wood into a dumpster and downstairs.  In addition, they moved gravel in preparation for a porch.  On Wednesday afternoon the group went to NAMI/MOCA House a drop in mental health center to understand what they do.   Afternoon work links: Habitat for Humanity  - facebook page Sonnenberg Village NAMI/MOCA website link      Educational segments include:  Monday, Beth Weaver from Habitat;  Tuesday, Jeanne Browning from the Wayne County Public Library discussed the New Lives

Annual Sauerkraut Supper Thursday 11/14/19 - 5-7pm Long standing annual sauerkraut supper. Dinner includes: pork, sauerkraut, green beans, drink and dessert. Proceeds will benefit our joint 2019 Mission trip to Tijuana Mexico between Tr i nity and College of Wooster students with Esperanza International Take out available. 2020 Stewardship Drive - "Take the Time"

As our fall schedule ramps up at Trinity, it is time to start to think about our annual stewardship drive.  This is where we, as a congregation, pledge our time, talent and treasures for next year. This year, 2019, has been a busy one at Trinity in part because of our 200th-anniversary celebrations.  In addition, we have completed several building improvement projects.   Our 2020 Stewardship Theme is “Take the Time” by the Michael Stanley Band.  It might seem a bit strange that we would pick a Heartland Rock band from the Cleveland area as our theme. The lyrics start:  These are strange days we live in, the nights get even worse.    And the news must make you crazy, it has for so long.
