We welcomed a group from Standale Reformed Church of Great Rapids


The group Monday met with Janet to learn more about the Homeless Task Force.

The group arrived Sunday evening 6/17/22.  The group will be here for four work days.

Each weekday morning the group will work at our breakfast program from 7:15 am to approximately 10:00 am.  Monday morning after breakfast the group talked with Lyn about the Wooster Homelessness Task Force.

Monday afternoon, the group went and worked at the Habitat Restore.

After breakfast Tuesday morning the group talked with Ray about the inside looks of homelessness 


Tuesday afternoon the group went to Sonnenberg Village near Kidron.  The Village is being rebuilt in a field moving period buildings into place and organizing the 5 acre plot into a little village and farm. In-between all of the hard work they got a tour of the Sonnenberg blacksmith facility. After we assisted in a number of projects we talked with an Amish man, Fred about their culture.

After working the Breakfast Program the group went to Moca House Recovery Center.

After breakfast on Thursday the group talked with Maud about the Trinity Summer Intern Program. Later heading to People To People Ministries In Wooster. After a long day of work they got to enjoy a BBQ held by the Shoots!

May 25, 2023 There are no pictures today.  Sorry.😞   After a 10 hour flight from New York and a 10-11 hour bus ride, we finally made it to our hotel.  It was 10:00 when we arrived and it was great to be able to stand up and walk around.  We are four hours ahead of Ohio.  I’ll have pictures tomorrow.  ðŸ˜Š May 26, 2023 Today was a day full of Ghanaian culture!     We visited a wonderful batik artist. She and her artists cut designs in foam, dip them in very hot wax, shake them off and print the wax on cloth.
