North Street Mission Press Release

Press Release:   North Street Mission, a new mission trip opportunity for youth or adult groups.

Background
Trinity United Church of Christ of Wooster, Ohio is proud to announce the creation of a new mission trip destination on the third floor of the church building, called North Street Mission.  Three years ago, Head Start who previously utilized six church rooms, moved out of the church when it purchased a local elementary school and consolidated all of their locations.  The church reviewed the options for the open rooms and in keeping with our local, regional and global mission focus decided that we had the ability to turn the empty space into a mission destination for other groups.  The third floor was then renovated and now has four bunk rooms, a gathering room and two rest rooms with showers.

About North Street Mission
North Street Mission (NSM) is a mission trip opportunity for youth or adult groups.  We provide a learning experience about big city issues in a rural setting.  Groups will start off the day working in our free community breakfast program then venture out to work in other community organizations, in the Wooster area.  Educational segments can be arranged on a variety of issues based upon the interest of the groups.  Groups are housed on the recently renovated third floor of the church in four bunk rooms.  If a group’s schedule allows a free day, NSM is close to a variety of fun venues as we are located 60 miles south of Cleveland, Ohio.
NSM can house up to twenty participants including youth groups, adult groups, family intergenerational groups, etc.  The space can be used as a retreat center for groups or family reunions.  In addition, the space can be used for youth groups traveling across the country needing a place to stay for a night or two.
