Esperanza Mission Trip

Annual Esperanza Mission Trip with the College of Wooster Each March Trinity along with students from the College of Wooster go on a joint mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico to build houses with Esperanza International .  Trinity's has been going on this trip for 20 years and with the College of Wooster since 2010. Pictured above is our 2017 group at the end of the week.  The houses are made of cement block that the families make prior to our arrival.  The picture below is the same house once finished and painted. During the week our group works side by side with families and neighbors to build the house.  We see first hand that their families and neighborhoods are strong as they help each other out.  We fly to San Diego and rent 15 passenger vans that we drive across the border.  We are housed in a compound called the La Posada . In the evenings and weekend we keep busy visiting many places to help us learn about the Mexican culture.  We typically visit:   a girls

Press Release:   North Street Mission, a new mission trip opportunity for youth or adult groups. Background Trinity United Church of Christ of Wooster, Ohio is proud to announce the creation of a new mission trip destination on the third floor of the church building, called North Street Mission.  Three years ago, Head Start who previously utilized six church rooms, moved out of the church when it purchased a local elementary school and consolidated all of their locations.  The church reviewed the options for the open rooms and in keeping with our local, regional and global mission focus decided that we had the ability to turn the empty space into a mission destination for other groups.  The third floor was then renovated and now has four bunk rooms, a gathering room and two rest rooms with showers.  About North Street Mission North Street Mission (NSM) is a mission trip opportunity for youth or adult groups.  We provide a learning experience about big city issues in a

Hymns of Dixie Band Saturday 9/24/17 - Concert at 4:00 pm followed by a meal Trinity United Church of Christ 150 E. North St. Wooster, Ohio  44691 330-264-9250 Hymns of Dixie was originally formed by Walter "Moe" Clippert in the 1950's in Akron. Moe was a retired Goodyear VP, played clarinet and gathered together local musicians to jam and play New Orleans jazz as well as church music.  They quickly developed a following and played at many churches in northern Ohio.   Moe passed away and some of the younger members kept it going. Most of the original members have passed on now, but the Hymns are still alive and playing churches throughout Ohio and the lower part of Michigan.   They are happy to be invited back again and looking forward to seeing everyone.  Concert will start at 4:00 pm in our Sanctuary followed by a free meal in our Fellowship hall.  Everyone is welcome!
